Talia Swartz

Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Talia has been actively painting and creating art ever since she was a child. She had her first solo art show at just 18 years old at The University of Toledo’s Lake Erie Center Campus. Talia’s work has been shown in galleries in Ohio, Arizona, and Colorado. While painting has always been her true passion, she also enjoys teaching art to children. Talia has shared her creative passion with students in both Colorado and Ohio teaching at several art non-profits, private studios, and in the school system. Talia recently moved to Denver upon completing a Masters Degree in Art/Painting.

Talia’s artwork showcases her passion for cities and urban architecture. “While I am artistically drawn to geometric shapes, I also love to distort the buildings and shapes in my cities and give them animated character.” You will not find people in her cityscapes because she finds that industrial objects like buildings, benches, power lines, and fire hydrants are what gives the city its true character. She is constantly inspired by all of the interesting lines, angles, and shapes that interact with each other in these urban environments. In addition to creating these whimsical urbanscapes, she also makes unique, custom frames for many of the paintings.
